  1. Entracte to Act III from Carmen/Bizet, ed. Thea King
  2. Adagio/ Albonini
  3. Mozart: Larghetto, Minuet from Clarinet Quintet, K. 581; Adagio from Clarinet Concerto, K. 622
  4. Lutoslawski: Dance Preludes, especially 2nd, 4th, and 5th movements
  5. Saint-Saens: Clarinet Sonata, op. 167, especially the first movement, but often the second and third movement
  6. Brahms: Clarinet Sonatas, especially the F minor one
  7. Schumann: Fantasy-Pieces, op. 73
  8. Bartok: Romanian Dances, arr. Galper
  9. Geminani: Sonata, arr. Galper
  10. Arnold: Sonatina, especially the second movement
  11. Rose: 32 Etudes, especially the odd-numbered ones, which are usually slow; two favourites are nos. 1 and 11
  12. Boccherini: Minuet (in Norman Heim, Solos for the Intermediate Clarinetist)
  13. Handel: Concerto in G minor (in Rubank, Clarinet Solos, Intermediate Level)
  14. Debussy: Petite Piece
  15. Weber: Grand Duo, second movement
  16. Carl Stamitz: Concerto in B flat major, second movement

  • clariniano: Thanks for the additional information. It was actually Yelp that deleted my reviews, because of so-called bias. I too have seen the horrible technique
